Abstrak ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to find out whether or not the use of Imitating English Vlog can enhance speaking skill of the eleventh grade students of SMAN 2 Palu. This research employed a quasi-experimental research design. The sample of this research was 67 students. Cluster random sampling was applied. The instrument of data collection of this research was speaking test consisted of pre- test and post-test. The researcher used audio recording of students to conduct the pre-test and post-test. The result of pre-test mean score of experimental class was 41.41 and the pre-test mean score of control class was 37.46. The post-test mean score of experimental class was 58.40 and the post-test mean score of control class was 46.48. Additionally the data of pre-test and post-test of this research were analyzed theoretically by applying t-test formula with the degree of freedom (df) 65. The result of statistical analysis in experimental and control class for the level of significance 0.05 it shows the t-test value was 2.95 and the t-table value was 1.99.The findings of this research indicates the t-test value was higher than the t-table value. It implies that the hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the Null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. In other words, using imitating English vlog can enhance students’ speaking skill grade eleven students of SMAN 2 Palu. Keywords: Speaking Skill, Imitation Technique, V-log, |
