Abstrak Nur Farah Safira ( A 121 19 116) “The Use of Duolingo Application to Improve Listening Skills of the Tenth Grade Students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu.” Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University, under the supervisor of Aminah and Agussatriana. This research aimed to find out whether the Duolingo application can help improve the listening skills of tenth-grade students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Palu. The study used a pre-experimental design with one group. A total of 20 students were selected using purposive sampling. The students took a pre-test before the treatment and a post-test after the treatment. The tests included fill-in-the-blank and multiple-choice questions to measure their listening skills. During the treatment, the students used the Duolingo application to practice listening in English. The results showed that the t-count value was higher than the t-table value. This means there was a significant improvement in the students’ listening scores after using Duolingo. Therefore, the research hypothesis was accepted. In conclusion, the Duolingo application can be used as an effective tool to help students improve their English listening skills.
