Abstrak
Wiwin Suciati (A12119001). “Using (KWL) Know-Want-Learn Strategy to Improve Reading Comprehension of the Tenth Grade Students of MAN 1 Parigi”. Skripsi. English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University. It is under the supervisor of Darmawan and Hastini. The objective of this research is to prove that the use of (KWL) Know-Want-Learn strategy can improve reading comprehension of the tenth grade students at MAN 1 Parigi. The method was used in this research was quasi experimental research design. The researcher used two classes, one experimental and one control. In the experimental class consisted of 28 students and in the control class consisted of 27 students. The researcher used pre-test and post-test to collecting data. The data were analyzed using paired sample t-test assisted SPSS application version 25 for windows. Based on the results of this research, it can concludes that using (KWL) Know-Want-Learn strategy was effective to improve students' reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of MAN 1 Parigi. This is proven from the result of analyze paired sample t-test that the value of significance (2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05, which mean there is a significant difference in the student learning outcomes for the pre-test and post-test.
