Abstrak
Liliyan A12118273. This Skripsi is entitled "Student’s Perception on Audiolingual Method in Learning English at the Eighth Grade of SMPN 1 Pedongga." English Education Study Program, Department of Language and Art Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, under the supervision of Mochtar Marhum and Maf'ulah. This research aims to explore students' perceptions of the use of the Audiolingual Method in learning English at the eighth grade of SMPN 1 Pedongga. The study employed a qualitative descriptive research design , with data collection through in-depth interviews conducted to gather insights about students’ experiences with the Audiolingual Method. Based on data analysis, it was found that most students had positive perceptions of the Audiolingual Method, as they felt it helped improve their pronunciation and memorization skills through structured and repetitive practice. However, some students expressed that the repetitive nature of the method made the learning process being monotonous and less engaging. Despite this, many students reported feeling more confident in their Englishspeaking abilities after applying the method.These findings indicate that students’ perceptions of the Audiolingual Method suggest it can improve their English skills, particularly in vocabulary and pronunciation, as well as enhance their speaking ability.
