| Abstrak ABSTRACT Nurazizah, A12118272.“Correlation Between Reading Comprehension and Speed Reading of the Tenth Grade Students of SMAN 5 Palu”. Skripsi. English Education Study Program. Language and Art Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Tadulako University,under the supervision of Aminah and Maf’ulah. The aim of this research is to find out if there is any positive correlation between reading comprehension and speed reading of the tenth grade students of SMAN 5 Palu. This research used correlational research design. The sample of this research was the tenth IPA 2 consisting of 30 students. The researcher used purposive sampling technique. The researcher used reading test and multiple-choice test as the instruments. The techniques of data analysis used Pearson Product Moment. The result of this research showed that the students reading comprehension lower than students speed reading. It means Ho is accepted and Ha is rejecte d. It means that there is no positive correlation between reading comprehension and speed reading of the tenth students of SMAN 5 Palu. Keywords: correlation, reading comprehension, speed reading |
