Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Department of Language and Art Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and education, under supervision (1) Abdul Kamaruddin dan (2) Mashuri. The purpose of this study is to find out the use of Duolingo application in teaching speaking skills. The researcher used a library research in this study. The data was obtained from journal articles, and there were six academic writing using Duolingo in teaching speaking. The data was collected by using documentation technique, the result of this study shows that the application of procedures in teaching using Duolingo application by the six researchers is different. The use of Duolingo in the teaching process generally uses steps in the procedure such as giving a brief explanation, dividing students into groups, using Duolingo as a means of learning at home, and providing evaluation and feedback. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of Duolingo application is effective in teaching English speaking and improving students' speaking ability.
