Abstrak The research aims to determine whether using animation videos as a media can improve the listening skill of the eighth grade students at SMP IT Al-Fahmi Palu or not. This research uses quantitative methods. The researcher uses a quasi-experimental design. The research sample was VIII A as the experimental group consisting of 28 students and VIII B as the control group consisting of 27 students. The instruments used in data collection were pre-test and post-test. The treatment was given six times. Data were analyzed statistically to find out significant differences between the pre-test and post-test. As a result of the research, there was an increase in the average value of the experimental group which was taught using animation videos as a media compared to the control group which was taught without using animation videos. The results of the data analysis found that the observed t-value is greater than the t-table. In other words, the use of animation videos can improve the listening skill of the eighth grade students at SMP IT Al-Fahmi Palu. Keywords: Listening Skill, Animation Videos. |
