Under the Supervision of Mochtar Marhum and Erniwati This research aims to determine students' difficulties in translating English texts. This research focuses on difficulties do class XII IPS 3 students at SMAN 3 Palu face in translating English texts and also the factors influence students' difficulties in translating English texts. In researcher used qualitative descriptive methods by using secondary data (document) and primary data (interview). The respondent of this research were students of class XII SMAN 3 Palu. The results of the research are students got difficulty in translating English texts such as vocabulary, grammatical and homonyms. And the factors do affect students difficulties in translating English text are laziness and boredom. Keywords: Student difficulties, translating, English text. |
