| Abstrak Sri Kumala dewi (A 121 18 235). Using Think Pair Share Technique in Teaching Reading Comprehension of the Seventh Grade Students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu, Skripsi, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Departement of Language and Art Education, English Language Education Study Program, under the supervision of Nadrun and Moh. Arid. This study aims to find out whether or not the implementation of Think Pair Share Technique can improve reading comprehension of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu. The research applied pre-experimental design. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu. The sample on this test consisted of 23 students. Data were collected through multiple choises and true or false test . The researcher gave pre-test and post-test to compare students’ achievement in reading comprehension before and after the Think Pair Share Technique treatment was carried out. The researcher decided to use the Wilcoxon procedure with manual and electronic calculations through the SPSS 27 program to analyze the data to determine whether there was an influence on students' reading comprehension after the Think Pair Share Technique was applied in the learning process, which finally found the value of Z = -1.882 and Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) = 0.060. and because, the value of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) <0.05 then it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. That means that reading comprehension of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Palu can be improved by using Think Pair Share Technique.
