English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Faculty Teacher Training and Education, tadulako University. Under the supervision of Aminah and Wahyudin. Reading is an essential factor that influences one’s activity in communication. In this era, people consider reading as an important activity, so that people usually say that reading is the way to open the world. This research contains data about the results of student learning observations using the Listen-Read-Discuss method. The aim of this research is to find out whether the use of the LRD strategy can improve the reading comprehension of grade 10 students. This research uses a quasi-experimental research design. The population in this study was tenth grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Palu, totaling 72 students. The sample for this research was 36 students in class A10, which was the experimental class, while 36 students in class B10 were in the control class. The sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique is a test that includes a pre-test and a post-test. The results of this research show that there was an improvement in the experimental class through calculating scores on the pre-test and post-test. Therefore it can be said that LRD strategy can improve students reading comprehencion. However, the improvement in students' reading comprehension is still not significant.
