| Abstrak Aditya Moh. Zikri (2025). “Improving Reading Comprehension Skill of Seventh Grade Students at SMP 21 Palu”. Thesis. English Education Study Program, Departement of Language and Art Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Under the supervision of (1) Darmawan and (2) Wahyudin. The purpose of this research is to prove whether or not the use of PowerPoint can improve students reading comprehension skill of the seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 21 Palu in the academic year 2024/2025. This research applied pre- experimental design. The population of this research were students of the seventh grade of SMP Negeri 21 Palu. The sample in this research consist 17 students. The sample was selected by using convenience sampling technique. The data were collected through multiple choice and true-false before (pre-test) and after (post- test) treatment. The data was analyzed by using statistics methods. The result of this final research shows that the t-counted (7.29) is higher than the t-table (1.746) in the significance degree, (0.05). the conclusion of this research indicated that the hypothesis of this research is accepted. It means that the students’ reading comprehension of the seventh grade at SMP Negeri 21 Palu can be improved by using PowerPoint. Keywords: Improving, Reading Comprehension, PowerPoint |
