Abstrak
Rizka Dalisya Wuisan, 2018. “Using Quizizz Android Application in Teaching Simple Present Tense of the Eighth Grade Students at SMP Negeri 1 Mepanga”. Skrpsi. English Education Study Program, Language and Art Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, Supervisor (1) Darmawan (2) Mashuri. This research aims to prove if using Quizizz Androoid Application affects students’ learning progress of simple present tense to the eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Mepanga. The researcher applied quasi-experimental research design. The population was the eighth grade students in academic year 2021/2022. The sample was selected by using purposive sampling technique. The researcher used paper-and-pencil method and observation as the technique of data collection. After analyzing all the gathered data, the data analysis of the test shows that the mean score of experimental group was 61.85 while the control group is 54.67. It is also found that the t-counted (1.90) is higher than the table (1.681) which indicates that the hypothesis is accepted. In other way, there is improvement of using Quizizz application in learning simple present tense. Furthermore, in supporting the main data, the researcher did observation during the teaching and learning process. It can be seen that the students show progress in every meeting. Therefore, it implies that using Quizizz in teaching simple present tense can give significant progress for the students. Keywords; Improving, Grammar, Simple Present Tense.
