Abstrak
Andini (A 121 18 182). An Analysis of Teachers’ Strategies in Teaching English Vocabulary at SMPN 15 Palu. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Language and Arts Education Department, Faculty Teacher Training and Education. Under the Supervision of Darmawan and Mafulah. The objective of this research is to find out teachers’ strategies in teaching English vocabulary and to find out the impacts of the strategies used by teachers in teaching English vocabulary. This research is a qualitative research. The subject was selected by using accidental sampling. The subject of the research was 3 English teachers in SMPN 15 Palu. The techniques of collecting the data is interview. The researcher used the technique of analyzing the data from Miles and Huberman. The steps to analyze the data are data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The result of the research shows 6 strategies used by teachers to teaching students vocabulary at SMPN 15 Palu. The strategies are translation, using picture, memorization, playing games, singing a song and taking notes. Key Words: Analysis, teachers strategy, Teaching Vocabulary
