Abstrak Regina Aulia. 2025. “An Analysis on the English Teachers’ Strategies in Teaching Reading Comprehension at SMAN 9 PALU”. Thesis. English Education Study Program, FKIP Tadulako University, under the supervision of Darmawan and Wahyudin. This research aims to analyze the strategies used by English teachers in teaching reading comprehension at SMAN 9 Palu. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through structured interviews with two English teachers. The findings reveal that both teachers employed various strategies such as pre-reading, during-reading, and post-reading stages. They also utilized techniques like thinkaloud, QAR (Question-Answer Relationship), generating questions, graphic organizers, and mind mapping to support student understanding. These strategies were found effective in fostering student engagement and enhancing reading comprehension. The study concludes that adaptive, varied strategies tailored to students’ needs play a significant role in successful reading comprehension instruction.
