Abstrak
Sultan Rajif 2025. This Skripsi is entitled “The Effectiveness of Word Ping Pong Game to Improve Students' Vocabulary Mastery of MTs Al–Khairaat Pusat Palu”. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Department of Language and Art Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Under the supervision of Nadrun and Afrillia Anggreni. The objective of this research is to prove whether the use of word ping pong game improves the vocabulary mastery of eight-grade students of MTs Al – Khairaat Pusat Palu. This researcher applied a pre-experimental research design. The population of this study was eigth-grade students of MTs Al – Khairaat Pusat Palu. The sample in this study consisted of 30 students. Data were collected through spelling test, matching words and completing the sentences. In this research, the researcher focuses on meaning and form of the word. The researcher used the SPSS 27 program to analyze the data to determine whether there is an effect on students' vocabulary mastery, after the word ping pong game was implemented in the learning process, which finally found the value of Z = -1.669 and Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) =0.095. Because, of the value of Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) <0.05 then, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. Therefore the study’s have implications for English language teaching practices. The Word Ping Pong Game can be a valuable addition to the teacher's toolkit, providing a fun and effective way to enhance vocabulary instruction. The game's adaptability allows for customization to different grade levels and learning objectives. By incorporating game-based learning into their classrooms, teachers can create a more engaging and motivating learning environment for their students.
