Abstrak This research is aimed at finding out the students’ perception towards the use of Duolingo in learning English. Another aim is to find out the language skills that improved after using Duolingo for learning. It used a descriptive qualitative research design. The instrument used to collect the data was an interview. The subjects of this research were the 2020 year students of English Education Study Program. They were at the fifth semester. In this research, there were 5 students as interviewees and 5 students would be compared. Based on the results of this research, it shows that almost all of the interviewees give positive responses towards their experience of using Duolingo application. The results show that Duolingo has many benefits. It can help the students practice their pronunciation and increase their vocabulary. Other finding shows that Duolingo can improve the students’ listening skill. The implication of the research findings is the students can use Duolingo as a supporting media to learn English outside the classroom. Keywords: Duolingo, Learning English |
