Abstrak The objective of this research is to investigate what strategies are frequently used and how is the reading comprehension of the learners after implementing the reading strategies. This study used qualitative research. The data were collected by employing library research method on scientific writings from 2010 to 2021. In this study, for data collection, document review was carried out. Based on the result the content analysis it is found that there are 10 academic writings that have been analyzed. The result of analyzing the scientific writings indicate that there are three out of eight strategies which are frequently used. They are Metacognitive strategy, QAR strategy and Summarizing strategy. The result show that the reading comprehension of the learners is improved. It is also found from the findings that those strategies can stimulates the students to be autonomous and active reader. Keywords: Reading comprehension, Teaching Strategy |
