Abstrak The objectives of this research are describing how the implementation of Cartoon film in teaching vocabulary. The study applied a qualitative design that implemented Library Research Method. The data were collected from scientific writings on the implementation of Cartoon Film in teaching vocabulary between 2012 and 2019. Scientific writing was found from library and internet. The data were analyzed using content analysis. There are five scientific writing Desi Pitriana (2012), Umi Zelamutia (2019), Fitri Kurniaty (2014), Sri Widia Astuti (2016), Zeynab Karimi Osbouei (2015). The implementation of cartoon films was used variously. Some of previous studies adapted procedure that suggested by Ishihara and Chi (2004) including Umi Zelamutia (2019) and Fitri Kurniaty (2014). All studies show that students' vocabulary increases after applying Cartoon Film in their research. Cartoon Film has some impact on students. Those are increasing students' motivation to learn new vocabulary, increasing student’s knowledge on vocabulary, and students are able to understand the material. It is concluded that using Cartoon Film in teaching vocabulary is effective. |
