| Abstrak ABSTRACT Nila Syafitri (A 121 17 218). An Analysis of Teacher’s Pedagogical Practices in Teaching English at Ponpes Modern Alkhairaat Siniu. A Skripsi. English and Education Study Program. Language and Art Education Dapartment. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Tadulako University. It is under the supervision of Nadrun. The Purpose of this research is to find out the pedagogical practices of English teachers at Ponpes Modern Alkhairaat Siniu. This research used a qualitative research design. Data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The subjects were 2 English teachers and 40 students at Ponpes Modern Alkhairaat Siniu. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the English teachers at Ponpes Modern Alkhairaat Siniu have implemented several aspects in their pedagogical practices. It can be seen from the presentation of observations 1 and 2 that the teachers has carried out Pedagogical practices very well. The practices that have been carried out by the teacher are interest in learning, learning motivation, learning materials, learning aids, learning atmosphere, student learning conditions, teacher abilities, and learning methods. While the results of questionnaires by students contained several aspects, namely student understanding, ability to develop curriculuum/ syllabus, utilization of learning technology, and evaluation of learning outcomes. This on indicated by the percentage of indicators 1, 2, and 4 getting very high percentage results in the very good category. While the indicator 3 gets a low presentation results with a sufficient category. The results of interviews with English teachers at Ponpes Modern Alkhairaat Siniu showed that there were several difficulties encountered during the learning activities. Therefore, every teacher always prepares their own learning media starting from books and using sources from the internet. In general, the pedagogical practices of the English teachers at Ponpes Modern Alkhairaat Siniu is generally in very good criteria. Key Words : Analysis, Pedagogical Practices. |
