ABSTRACT Nadila Indah Cahyani (A 121 17 138). Teachers’ Perception on the Use of Google Classroom in Teaching English Vocabulary at SMP Negeri 3 Palu. Skripsi. English Education Study Program. Language Education and Art Department. Teacher Training and Educational Faculty. Under Supervision of Nadrun. The objective of this research was to find out teachers' perception on the use of Google Classroom in teaching English vocabulary. The researcher used descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research was the English teachers at SMP Negeri 3 Palu. Interview was used to collect the data. As the qualitative method, the data was analyzed by using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The result shows that the teachers perceived the use of Google Classroom are able to facilitate the learning process during COVID-19 Pandemic especially for teaching English vocabulary. Teachers used it as a facilitation tool for managing students’ tasks, posting the material related to the teaching vocabulary, organizing the classroom, and accommodating students’ interaction. In addition, teachers can manage the large class efficiently because technology takes it as an alternative method for teaching during the pandemic. The teacher can access the students' responses anytime in any place, and also, teachers can give feedback directly. Google Classroom provides the chance of learning not only at school but also at home or in any place. However, there are some factors as the limitation on the use of Google Classroom, such as highly consumed data plan, lack of familiarity from the students in adoption Google Classroom, and submitting assignment behind schedule. Teachers stated the use of Google Classroom was very helpful to conduct their virtual classroom. Keywords: Google Classroom, teachers’ perception
