Abstrak ABSTRACT IrsyadTriantama, 2021.“The Correlation between Grammar Mastery and Speaking Accuracy of The Grade Ten Students at SMA Negeri 3 Palu”. English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University.Under the Supervision of Mukrim. This research aimed to find out whether there is a positive correlation between grammar mastery and speaking accuracy of the grade ten students at SMA Negeri 3 Palu. This research applied a correlational research design of quantitative approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Palu in the academic year 2020/2021. The sample of this research was 27 students which was taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used in this research were multiple choice and an oral test. The former one was used to obtain the data of students’ grammar mastery knowledge and the latter one was used to measure students’ speaking skill. The result of hypothesis test used Pearson product moment formula was 0.422. It means that Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted because the result of rxy value was higher than table score of product moment (0.422 > 0.381) with significant level (? = 0.05). The result of rxy value obtained above inferred that there is a positive correlation between grammar mastery and speaking accuracy of the grade ten students at SMA Negeri 3 Palu in the academic year 2020/2021 with moderate/medium correlation.
