Abstrak
The aims of conducting this research was to find out whether the students’ vocabulary mastery can be improved by the application of watching cartoon movie or not. The researcher applied quasi experimental research design which involved experimetal group and control group. The samples were class VII B as experimental group and class VII A as control group. They were recruited by using a random sampling technique. The data were collected by using pre-test and post-test. The post-test was conducted to measure the competence and achievement of the students after the treatment. The data obtained from the test were analyzed statistically. The result of the data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the result of experimental group and control group. It was proved that the result of t-counted (2.35) was greater than t-table (1.68). It means that the research hypothesis was accepted. This means that the application of watching cartoon movie can improve student’s vocabulary mastery of the First grade students at MTs Alkhairaat Sidole.
