Abstrak
ABSTRACT The objective of this research is to investigate the implementation of group investigation technique applied in teaching writing and how is the students’ writing after the implemenation of group investgation technique. This research used library research design. The data sources were taken from Sharan & Sharan (1992) as primary data and Bagus Yogi Martendi (2019), Rina Mayasari (2012), Nur Andriana (2016), Dita Ningtyas Pinasti (2013) and Nopriani (2017) as secondary data. The results show that the Implementation of Group Investigation Technique in teaching writing conduct of 6 steps. 1) Providing topic and Setting up Group Works. 2) Making Outline. 3) Assigning Investigation. 4) Preparing the Presentation. 5) Assigning Oral Presentation. 6) Evaluating the presentation. Four researchers adopted steps from Sharan and Sharan excepted Nopriani, she use steps that elaborated by herself but still effective in teaching writing. The implementation of group investigation is effective for students at senior high school. All of the researchers used different method in implementating group investigation but still show the improvement of students’ writing. The Implementation of Group Investigation makes students easier to developing idea, constructing sentences, building vocabulary, appropriating generic structrue in kinds of text, grammar, puctuation, spelling, and capitalization. Eventually, by examining the previous statements, it can be concluded the implementation of Group Investigation Technique is effective technique to teaching writing.
