Abstrak
Aprianto (A 121 16 129). The Implementation of Communicative Games Technique To Improve Speaking Skill of The Eight Grade Students of MTs Al-Khairaat Tomini, Skripsi, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Department of Language and Art Education, English Language Education Study Program, under the supervision of Aminah. This study aims to find out whether or not the implementation of communicative games technique can improve speaking skill of the eighth grade students of MTs Al-Khairaat Tomini. The researcher applied quasi-experimental design. The samples were students of class VIII C consisting of 25 students as the experimental class and class VIII A was 25 students as the control class. They were selected by purposive sampling technique. To collect the data, test which was divided into pretest and posttest, was used as the research instrument. The mean score of pretest for the experimental class and control class were 43.5 and 44 respectively. The mean score of posttest for the experimental class and control class were 60 and 50. By applying the degree of freedom (df) 48 and 0.05 of the significance level, this research indicates that the t-counted value (3.106) is higher than the t-table(1.677). In other words, the hypothesis of this research is accepted. Therefore, the study revealed that the students’ speaking skill can be improved by the implementation of communicative games.
