| Abstrak Greace Prisilia Dudukano (2021). This skripsi is entitled “The Correlation between Vocabulary Mastery and Writing Skill of the Eighth-Grade Students at SMP Negeri 19 Palu” English Education Study Program, Department of Language and Art Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, under the supervision of Nadrun. The objective of this research is to investigate whether or not there is any significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and writing skill of the eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 19 Palu. This research applied a correlational research design. In selecting the sample, the researcher applied a simple random sampling technique. The samples of this research were 36 students. The researcher used tests, as the main instrument to collect the data consisting of Vocabulary test and writing test. The result of data analysis of both tests using Pearson Product Moment was 0.447. Applying the degree of freedom (df) 35 and 0.10 level of significance found that the value of r-table was 0.216. The data indicates that r-counted is higher than the r-table. It means that the hypothesis of this research is accepted. Thus, the correlation between vocabulary mastery and writing skill of the eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 19 Palu is significant.
