Abstrak Nur Ainun A. Badar, A 121 16 094. English Education Study Program, Language And Art Education Department, Teacher Training And Education Faculty Improving Reading Comprehension of the Eighth Grade Students of MTs Alkhairat Tinombo through Read Cover Remember Retell (RCRR) Strategy under the Supervision of Hasan Basri. This research aims at proving that the use of RCRR strategy can improve reading comprehension of the eighth grade students of MTs Alkhairat Tinombo. The research applied quasi experimental design with non-equivalent control group. The population was 119 students in grade eight. The samples were 62 students selected employing random sampling technique. Paper and pencil method were used when collecting the data with a test as the instrument. The test was administered twice namely pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed statistically using .05 level of significance and 60 degree of freedom. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the students’ mean score of the experimental group post-test was 88.55 greater than the control group’s mean score, 84.84. Comparison the two tests of scale describes that t-counted value = 6.14> t-table value = 1.999. Therefore, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. It can be concluded that applying RCRR strategy can improve the students’ reading comprehension of the eighth grade of MTs Alkhairat Tinombo.
