Abstrak This research aimed to find out about students' difficulties in reading skill at MTs Alkhairaat Towera through narrative text. This research was conducted at MTs Alkhairaat Towera in the academic year 2022/2023 and used 11 students as the sample. The researcher conducted qualitative descriptive research. The researcher used an interview and a worksheet as instruments. The data collection technique was an interview consisting of 5 questions to students and collecting data from student worksheet in class VIII A, which consisted of 11 students. The result of the research showed that 95% of students had difficulties reading English texts. There are three main reasons for that. Firstly, they don't understand the content of the text, so they can't answer the questions correctly. Secondly, they still lack vocabulary mastery. Thirdly, students still have difficulty pronouncing it, and they don't really understand the meaning of the text. |
