| Abstrak ABSTRACT NURMASYITA (A 121 16 048). This Skripsi is entitled, Improving Writing Skill of the Tenth-grade Students of SMA Negeri 4 Sigi through Textless Comics During Covid 19 Pandemic, Skripsi, Teacher Training, and Education Faculty, Language and Art Education Department, English Education Study Program, under the supervision of Rofiqoh. The research aims to find out whether or not Textless comics is effective to improve students’ writing skill. This research applied quasi experimental design, which used two groups, they were experimental group and control group. The samples were selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used for collecting data was test. The mean score of pre-test and post-test were 59.90 and 79.17. The result of the test was analyzed statistically by applying the degree of freedom 29 (Nx + Ny – 2 = 16+15-2) and 0.05 level of significance, it is found that the t-counted (2.54) is higher than the t-table (2.045). It means that the research hypothesis is accepted. This research indicates that the Textless comic has an effect in improving writing skill of the tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Sigi. Textless comic can attract students' attention and enthusiasm in learning and help the students in writing story. Key Terms: Writing skill; Writing; Improving; Textless Comic |
