Muzdalifah (2020). “The Implementation of Vocabulary Self-collection Strategy (VSS) to Improve VocabularyMastery ofthe Eighth Grade Students of Mts AlKhairaat Tinombo. Under the supervision of Hasan Basri. The objective of this research is to find out whether the implementation of Vocabulary Self-collection Strategy (VSS) can improve vocabulary mastery of the eighth grade students of MTs Al Khairaat Tinombo. This research used quasi experimental research as the research design. The population of this research was the eighth grade students of MTs AlKhairaat Tinombo. The sampling of this research was class B as the control group and class D as the experimental group. Those sampling were selected by using purposive sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researcher usedposttest and pretest to both groups. The results of the data analysis showed the t-counted was 14.25 and t-table was 1.68 with the degreeof freedom (df) 43 and 0.05 level of significance. The results of the data show that the t-counted is higher that the t-table. It means that the hypothesis is accepted. In other words, Vocabulary Self-collection Strategy (VSS) can improvevocabulary mastery of the eighth grade students of MTs AlKhairaat Tinombo.
