Abstrak ABSTRACT Moh Saipul Aziz (A 121 15 200). This skripsi entitled “Improving Speaking Skill of The tenth grade Student of SMAN 7 Palu Through Problem-Based Learning”. Under the Supervision of Nadrun. The objective of this research is to find out whether or not the Problem Based-Learning improve speaking skill of the tenth grade students of SMAN 7 Palu. It used a quasi experimental research design which involved two groups; experimental group and control group. 20 students’ of X IPS 1 were as the experimental group and 20 students’ of X IPS 2 were as the control class, selected by using proposive sampling technique. The instrument of data collection was test consisted of pre-test and post-test. The result of the data showed that the tcounted value (10.27) is higher than the ttablevalue (2.024). It indicated that the hypothesis of this research is accepted. In other words, the The Problem-Based Learning can improve the students’ speaking skill of the tenth grade students’ of SMAN 7 Palu.
