| Abstrak ABSTRACT Nurul Hidayah (2022). By title “The Effectiveness of Dubbing Muted Video in Improving Students’ Speaking Skill at Grade X SMAN 6 PALU. Skripsi, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Language and Art Department, English Education Study Program, Tadulako University. It is Under the Supervision of Dr.H Jamiluddin,M.Hum. The objective of this research is to find out the effectiveness of dubbing muted video technique in improving students speaking skill of the tenth-grade students of SMAN 6 PALU. The researcher applied pre-experimental research design, where the researcher chose the one group only pre-test post-test. The population of the research was the grade X IPA 2 students of SMAN 6 PALU. In this research, the researcher conducted six meetings for three months. The class was given treatment by applying Video Dubbing technique in teaching speaking skill. The instrument of data collection was pre-test and post-test. Based on the data analysis, it was found that there a few improvement between the students’ scores at pre-test to post-test. It indicated by the t-counted (5.276) that was higher than the t-table (1.761) by applying 0.05 level of significance and the degree of freedom (22). Therefore, as the result to find out the effect of treatment, it seems that the treatment of video dubbing technique is effective. Keywords: Video Dubbing Technique, Speaking Skill |
