| Abstrak Stepmi Gayantri A.Hakim A 121 15 086. An Analysis of Grammar Errors in Writing Recount Text: A Study at the English Students of Tadulako University Academic Year 2018, under the supervision Sudarkam .R. Mertosono. Considering the importance of grammatical knowledge in the writing process, this research was aimed to know the grammar errors that happen in writing class made by The English Students of Tadulako University Academic Year 2018. Population was taken in fifth semester of English student study program. Accidental sampling was used in taking sample from the population. The researcher found the common error that exist on the students’ writings. The findings showed that the percentage of the students’ percentage in ommision is 40,3%, addition is 5.2%, misformation is 50.8% and misordering is 3,5%. The researcher attempted to put the findings analysis in accordance to the order of the most frequents errors found in studnets essays to the least frequent errors. It showed that the most frequest error is misformation 50,8%. After calculating the data from those components. The researcher found that the highest error manned by the English students of Tadulako University academic year 2018 is misformation. Based on the result, it is figured out that the students still have difficulties in applying grammatical structures in writing recount text. Keywords: Grammar Errors, Writing Skill, Recount Text |
