Abstrak I Putu Adrian (A 121 15 068). This skripsi entitles enhancing students Speaking skill through Simulation Technique at tenth grade of SMAN Model Terpadu Madani. Under the supervision of Anshari Syafar. The objective of this research is to investigate whether the use of Simulation Technique is effective to develop the tenth grade students’ speaking skill at SMAN Model Terpadu Madani Palu. The method of this research was quasi experimental research designs which involved two classes of students as experimental class and control one. The samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The samples were X4 as the experimental class and X3 as the control one. They were given the oral test which is the prompt of speaking test as the instrument, where the students were asked question about daily life. The purpose is to find out how fluent, accurate and appropriate they are before and after the treatment. T-test formula was used to calculate the students score from mean score, deviation until t-value. The result of the data analysis indicates that there was a significant difference between the result of pretest and posttest. The mean of experimental class significantly developed from 53.66 to 72.00. Meanwhile, the mean of control class developed from 52.00 to 57.44. Based on the result of the pretest and posttest, it was found that the t-value was 6.89. By applying degree of freedom (df) 60 and 0.05 level of significance, it was found that the t-table was 1.9987. It means that t-value (6.89) was greater than t-table (1.9987). Furthermore, it clarifies that the hypothesis is accepted. Thus, Simulation Technique is effective to develop the tenth grade students’ speaking skill at SMAN Model Terpadu Madani Palu.
