Abstrak
PUJI WAHYU SETIAWATY (A121 15 026). Using Quantum Learning Method to Improve Writing Ability of Grade Ten Students of SMA Negeri 1 Sirenja. Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Language and Art Education Department, English Language Education Study Program, Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Konder Manurung and Aminah Suriaman. This research aims to prove whether or not the implementation of Quantum Learning Method can improve writing ability of grade ten students of SMA Negeri 1 Sirenja. This research applied quasi experimental research design. The population of the research was all of the ten grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sirenja that consisted of 286 students. The sample were selected by using purposive sampling technique in which class X MIA 3 that consisted of 36 students as experimental group and class X MIA 2 that consisted of 36 students as the control group. The instrument of the research was test, consisting of pre-test and post-test for both experimental and control groups. The results showed that Quantum Learning Method have significant improvement on the students? writing ability in recount text. It was proven by the result of statistical analysis that showed the mean score of post-test in experimental group is 78.00 and control group is 65.04. The value of t-counted is 4.72 and the value of t-table is 1.99444. The t-counted was higher than t-table. It means that the using of Quantum Learning Method is effective to improve the students? ability in writing skill. Keywords: Writing Skill, Quantum Learning Method.
