Abstrak ABSTRACT Dwi Ramayati (2019). This skripsi entitled “Using Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) in Teaching Students’ Reading Comprehension at the Tenth Grade of Akuntansi Program of SMK Negeri 1Mepanga”. A skripsi English Education Study Program of Language and Art Education Department of Teacher Training and Education faculty, Tadulako University, under the supervision of Nur Sehang Thamrin. The objective of this research is to find out whether the application of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) improves students’ reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of Akuntansi at SMK Negeri 1 Mepanga. This research used quasiexperimental research and total sampling technique. The subjects of the research were students of X Akuntansi B as experimental group and X Akuntansi A as control group. In collecting the data, the researcher gave pretest and posttest for both classes. The research instrument was reading comprehension test. The result of data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the result of pretest and posttest. The mean score of the experimental group before treatment is 40.92 while the control group is 42.75. After the treatment, the mean score of the experimental group is 72.10 and the control group is 59.50. The result of t-counted is 6.06. Referring to the table value by applying the degree of freedom (df) 58 (30+30?2) with the level significance 0.05, based on the t-table list, (df) 58 is 2.002. It shows that t-counted (6.06) is greater than t-table (2.002) which indicates that the research hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) improves students’ reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of Akuntansi at SMK Negeri 1 Mepanga.
