Mufila (2019) “ Improving Writing Descriptive Text of the Eighth Grade Students Through Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Strategy”. Skripsi, English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University, under the supervision of Hasan Basri. The objective of this research is to find out whether the use of Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Strategy can improve the eighth grade students’ skill in writing descriptive text or not. The researcher used quasi-experimental research design. The population of this research was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Palu that consisted of 330 students. The sample was chosen by applying random sampling technique to select an experimental group and a control group. The researcher used test to measure the students’ skill in writing. The pre-test was administered to measure the students’ writing skill before giving the treatment while the post test was administered to measure the students’ writing skill after giving the treatment. The result of the pretest shows that the mean score of the experimental group is 51 while the control group is 47. The scores increase on the posttest from 51 to 75 for the experimental group and the posttest in the control group increase from 47 to 56. There is significant improvement of the students score in writing descriptive text. Furthermore, the result of t-counted value (3.66) is greater than t-table value (2.00). In conclusion, the eighth grade students’ skill in writing descriptive text at SMP Negeri 4 Palu can be improved through Think-Talk-Write (TTW) Strategy.
