Abstrak Fitri Khusnunl Khatimah (A 121 14 136). “Using Read, Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) Strategy to Improve Reading Comprehension of Eighth Grade Students of MTs Negeri 3 Donggala”. Skripsi. English Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Aminah Suriaman. The objective of the research was to attest whether or not the use of Read, Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) Strategy can improve reading comprehension of eighth grade students of MTs Negeri 3 Donggala on narrative text. Additionally, this research was conducted through quasi experimental research designin which the samples of the research were grades VIII A and VIII B. The obtained data of this research were analyzed statistically in order to find out the significant difference between two groups on the posttest after the treatment using RCRR Strategy given to the experimental group. It was found that the mean scores of both the experimental and control groups on the posttest were respectively 64.37 and 50.42. Furthermore, referring to the ttable value of df 32 (17+17-2) by applying 0.05 level of significance on one-tailed test, it was found that the tcounted value of this research (4.70) was higher than the ttable value (1.69). On top of that, the use of Read, Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) Strategy can improve reading comprehension of eighth grade students of MTs Negeri 3 Donggala.
