Abstrak The objective of this research is to find out whether or not the use of Laptop Device can improve listening comprehension of the tenth grade students’ at SMA Labschool Untad Palu. The researcher used Quasi-experimental design. The population of this research was the tenth grade students of SMA Labschool Untad Palu that consisted of four classes. The sample was drawn by applying purposive sampling technique to select an experimental and a control group. The research data were collected by using written test of pre-test and post-test. The pre-test was conducted to measure the students’ listening comprehension before the treatment, while the post test was conducted to measure the students’ listening comprehension after the treatment. The result of the data analysis shows that there is a significant difference between the result of the experimental group and the control group. By applying one-tailed test at 0.05 level of significance with 46 degree of freedom (df) or Nx+Ny-2 = 46, the result of t-counted (3.64) is higher than t-table (1.68). It is concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. In summary, the use of Laptop Device can improve listening comprehension of the tenth grade students at SMA Labschool Untad Palu.
