| Abstrak The tittle of this skripsi is Teaching Concrete Nouns to the Seventh Grade Students at SMP Negeri 2 Palolo, supervised by Nuhung and Nursehang Thamrin. This research aimed at knowing whether or not the concrete nouns mastery of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Palolo can be increased through pictures. The research design was pre-experimental research. The population of the research was the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Palolo. She took class VII A to be the sample by using cluster sampling technique. In collecting the data, she used interview and test as the research instruments. She applied descriptive and statistical analysis to analyze the data. Based on the result of pre-test and post-test, she found that the t-counted was 11.45. By applying 29 of the degree of freedom (df)N-1=29-1=28 with 0.05 level significance the researcher found that the t-table was 1.701. It shows that the t counted value is higher than the t-table. It means that the research hypothesis is accepted. In other words, the vocabulary mastery of the seventh grade students at SMP negeri 2 Palolo can be increased through the use of pictures |
