| Abstrak The research objective was to prove whether the implemantation of Jumble Letters game can increase the ability of the seventh year students in SMPN I Tojo in teaching vocabulary mastery. The writer employed pre-test and post-test experimental and control group. The population was the seventh year students inSMPN 1 Tojo. The sample was drawn through a random sampling technique. The data were collected by using two instruments: observation and test. The data of observation were analyzed descriptively while the data collected through the test were analyzed statistically. The result of the data analysis showed that there was a significance difference between pre-test and post-test results. It was proved by testing hypothesis. By applying 0.05 level of significance with 58 ( 60 – 2 ) degree of freedom (df), the t-value was greater (4.70) than the t-table (2.000). It means that the research hypothesis was accepted. In other words, using jumble letters game was effective to improve the students ability in vocabulary mastery |
