Abstrak The research problems are: 1. How is the application of role playing method to Improve Speaking Ability of Students in Grade VI of SDN Porame?. 2. Can role playing method improve Speaking Ability of Students in Grade VI of SDN Porame?. This research aims at: 1 describing the application of role playing method to Improve Speaking Ability of Students in Grade VI of SDN Porame. 2. Describing the improvement of speaking ability of the students in grade VI of the school. This was a classroom action research done with four stages, namely; (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The research was conducted in two cycles with the result of cycle I was 6.6 of mean score of the students and 60% of classical learning achievement. In cycle II, it increases to 7.4 of mean score of the students and 100% of classical learning achievement. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the application of role playing method can improve speaking ability of Students in Grade VI of SDN Porame.
