The research aims to investigate two main questions: 1) to assess students' proficiency in analyzing the elementsĀ of fictional works using Quizizz media within the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, and 2) to examine the factors that influence students' ability to analyze the elements of fictional works. This research is characterized as descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects are 32 students of 8th grade from SMP Negeri 4 Palu during the 2024/2025 academic year. The group is composed of 17 male students and 15 female students. According to the research and discussion, students' ability to analyze fictional works through Quizizz media in the PBL learning model achieved high standards, with an average score of 91.94%. The highest score was 91.94%, with the following breakdown: 1) Out of the total number of students, 17, or 53.13%, achieved a perfect score of 100 in expressing a fictitious work. 2) 7 students, or 21.88%, scored 90. 3) 5 students, or 15.63%, obtained a score of 80. 4) Lastly, three students, or 9.38%, scored 70. The researcher assessed many components of fictional works, including the storyline, theme, setting, characters, characterization, and message. The researcher's analysis and measurement of each aspect yielded varying percentage results. According to interviews and questionnaires administered at SMP Negeri 4 Palu, various levels of student knowledge, which can impact their motivation to learn, are among the factors influencing students' ability to analyze the elements of fictional works. The absence of media and students' reluctance to pursue literature are additional factors. The evaluations conducted by the teacher using both the Quizizz media application and the PBL (Problem-Based Learning) model provide an overview of students' abilities from the analysis of these factors. It also offers a deeper understanding of the PBL (Problem-Based Learning) model and teachers' comprehension regarding using Quizizz media.
