Astriana. 2022. Analysis of a Lecturer's Directive Speech Acts Delivered to Class A Students in the 2019 Studies Online Learning (Batc of Pragmatic).. Skripsi. Bachelor Degree. Indonesian Language Education Study Program, Language and Art Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University. Under the supervision of Gusti Ketut Ali Suputra. The research problems are (1) (1) What is the form of the lecturer's directive speech act to Class A students in 2019? (2) What is the function of the lecturer's directive speech act to Class A students in 2019?. This research aims to describe the form and function of the lecturer's directive speech actions to Class A students in the 2019 batch participating in online learning in pragmatic studies. This research employed descriptive qualitative methods of observable words said by speakers (lecturers) to speech partners (students). The data source was the lecturer's remarks to students during online learning via zoom). The data collection techniques employed listening, note-taking, screen recording, and screenshots. The researcher discovered six types of directive speech acts including (1) a request form, for example, the lecture said: "please turn on the microphone," which signifies that the speech partner switches on the microphone via zoom. (2) in the form of a lecturer's command: "Don't turn on the microphone when I am explaining the material!" It means that the interlocutor can not turn on the microphone while the lecturer is discussing the material. (3) A question, for example: "To what part of the material that we have learned?" It implies to what extent the lecture discusses the learning materials. (4) a sort of prohibition, such as a lecturer's remarks, "It is completely banned for you to have the same assignment!" if the lecturer refuses your assignment. The statement implies that students are not assigned the same assignment. (5) An invitation in the style of Lecturer: "Please turn on the camera" indicates that the speaker (lecturer) urges students to turn on the camera via zoom. (6) As a demand, for example, Lecturer said: "collect your assignment to me as soon as possible." The objective of the speech is to encourage students to send the assignments as soon as possible. Four directive speech acts functions are (1) competitive (competing) functions such as lecturers: "I allow you to ask questions that you have notunderstood.", (2) convivial (fun) functions such as lecturers: "To group 3, your presentation today was very good so the discussion went very, very well," 3) collaborative function (collaborating) such as Lecturer: "It's good for you to discuss the six materials that I gave to you, and (4) conflict function (contrary) as the lecturer said: If no one answers who wants to present their work, I will remove them from the zoom room”. Keywords: analysis, speech acts, directive speech acts, pragmatic studies
