| Abstrak ABSTRACT Trismiani Bintindajaja 2019 ,The research title “The Ability of the VII grade SMPN 19 Palu students to analyze procedure text”. Programme of study in Indonesian Language, course of study in language and art, Faculty of teachers training and education, Tadulako university. Supervisor (1) Dr. Siti, S.Ag, M.Pd, Discussant (I) Gusti Ketut Ali Saputra, Discussant (II) Laode Baisu. The research question is how is ability of the VII grade SMPN 19 Palu students in analyzing procedure text. The aim of the research is to describe the ability of the VII grade SMPN 19 palu students in analyzing procedure text. This research employs description method which include two phases (1) compiling data technique (2) analyzing data technique. Data result from evaluation of analyzing procedure text by the VII grade students of SMPN 19 Palu show the highest score 100 and the lowest score 70. Based on the evaluation result, the average score emerges from the ability of the VII grade SMPN 19 Palu students in analyzing procedure text is 78,4. Therefore, the VII grade SMPN 19 Palu students categorized as successful, in case they are able to analyze procedure text. The result also describe that the learning of analyzing procedure text of the VII grade SMPN 19 Palu students is been successful beyond the minimal completion criteria designed by The School that scored 70.
