Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah kemampuan menulis pengumuman siswa kelas VII D SMP IT Qurrota A?yun Palu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis pengumuman siswa krlas VII D SMP IT Qurrora A?yun Palu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalahn penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik evaluasi dalam menulis pengumuman. Sampel dalam penelitian ini kelas VII D SMP IT Qurrota A?yun Palu. Data kemampuan siswa kelas yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan rumus: M = ? Berdasarkan hasil pengelohan data penelitian dan kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) di kelas VII D SMP IT Qurrota A?yun Palu pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yaitu 75. Hasil dari penelitian ini telah diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa dalam menulis pengumuman yaitu 72,21. Sehingga peneliti dapat mengambil kesimpulan bahwa siswa kelas VII D SMP IT Qurrota A?yun Palu belum mampu menulis pengumuman. This research was conducted at SMP IT Qurrota A’yun Palu. The research problem was how the ability of grade VII students at SMP IT Qurrota A’yun Palu in writing announcement is. The purpose of this research was to describe the ability of Grade VII students at SMP IT Qurrota A’yun Palu in writing announcement. Type of this research was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used evaluation techniques in writing announcements. The sample in this research was class VII D of SMP IT Qurrota A’yun Palu. Students’ ability data obtained was processed using the formula: M = Based on the results of research data processing and classical learning achievement in class VII D of SMP IT Qurrota A’yun Palu in Indonesian subject that is 75, the results of this research have obtained the average value of students in writing announcement that is 72.21. Thus, researcher conclude that students of class VII D at SMP IT Qurrota A’yun Palu have not been able to write announcement. Keywords: Ability, Writing, Announcement, Students.
